Currently going for ₤80 it is definitely worth the money. Don’t expect to get an equivalent of the iPad. This little 7″ tablet is loaded with the Android OS 1.6 with 128MB RAM and 2GB storage with a 8GB micro SD card included in the sales package. I did some research on the device before I bought it and came across some negative reviews. All the negative reviews had one thing in common, iPad users. This is definitely not an iPad and you simply can not expect the same performance from this device. This device is perfect for surfing the net, reading up on your email, reading some ebooks, checking on Facebook what your friends are up to and that is basically what this device is made for, nothing more. The touch screen is resistive compared to the more expensive tablets with capacitive screens, so you will need to press harder on the screen. The design and look makes it look and feel like an iPad. In fact, you can probably slap on an Apple logo and punt it off to your kids as an iPad if they are non the wiser. The app store for this device is a bit limited and you can’t access the Android app market. I did find a workaround for this though, as with everything else there is always a workaround. There’s a few websites with free Android apps and managed to successfully install a few apps this way without any need to login to any website. All over this is definitely a good buy. If you don’t like it you can still give it to your 8 year old to have fun and build up on his cyber skills.

My first thought was why should you get a Kindle if you can rather get a netbook which is a little bit more expensive but loaded with many more features? I proved myself wrong. From the first test drive I was hooked. The biggest seller to me was the e-ink on the egg shell color screen. This made the world’s difference when it comes to long periods of reading. Most e-readers are LCD back-lit screens which puts a lot of strain on your eyes. Not the Kindle.
